New General Manager at Amrâth Hotel Alkmaar

In September 2010, Guido Franssen was appointed hotel manager at Amrâth Hotel Alkmaar.

After graduating from the Hotel Management School in Maastricht, Guido Franssen began work at Park Hotel Amsterdam. In 2007 he moved to the Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam where he held various posts, including Duty Manager, Revenue Manager and Front Office Manager. He aims to continue the current growth at Amrâth Hotel Alkmaar and, through personal attention, to match the service and quality to the wishes of the guests.

Amrâth Hotel Alkmaar

The four-star Amrâth Hotel Alkmaar opened in 2005 and has 90 comfortable rooms, including five junior suites and one executive suite. The hotel is situated on Alkmaar’s large tree-lined canal that circles the old city centre. In Alkmaar’s delightful centre, you will find the ‘De Vest’ theatre, many shops and various cafés and restaurants. Alkmaar’s special attraction is the cheese market that is held on Waagplein every Friday in the months of April to September. In terms of business, Alkmaar is the heart of North Holland, and as regards leisure the city is close to the sea and a good starting point for cycling and walking tours.
